The Northern Virginia Bead Society presents “Bead Blast.” Girl Scouts will learn about gems, jeweler’s tools, findings, and careers from professionals and hobbyists. Each participant will make jewelry for a service project and jewelry for herself.
Sign up for the workshop due by March 14, 2015.
When: Saturday, 21 March, 12:30 – 4:00 PM; Troops check-in at 12:15 PM
Where: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2589 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VA, 22181. Girls will enter from the parking lot to main doors under the portico, follow signs to registration to Fellowship Hall.
Cost: $ 5.00 per Girl Scout. Please write1 troop check payable to TOGA. Bring Health/emergency medical form (a copy), permission slip. Participation is limited to 50 Girl Scouts. Adults are welcome to stay and learn jewelry-making techniques. Snack included.
Sign up: Send check to Nancy Moats, 131 Courthouse Rd., SW, Vienna, VA 22180 – 5602. Please note that I will maintain a waitlist, since openings usually become available.
Electronic Devices: NO electronic device usage will be permitted during the event. Girl texting, etc. will have their device temporarily confiscated. Please encourage your older girls to leave their devices at home or turned off during the event. Please advise them of the “no usage” rule.

The church entrance is through the double doors under a portico. Entrance to the parking lot is between McDonald's and DePaul's Nursery on Chain Bridge Road.
Members gather annually to create blue bracelets for the Global Genes Project, a program that provides support for kids suffering from rare diseases and disorders.
Members gather throughout the year to create jewelry accessories for “Dress For Success”– a Non-profit organization that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development for low-income women.
Members gather throughout the year to create jewelry accessores for a local Prom Dress program for low-income teens.
